While we don’t begin any treatments on children younger than 3, it’s never too early to bring your child to our fun, comfortable office.

A Word About Sealants
Sealants are clear coatings applied to the chewing surfaces of all the back teeth to prevent tooth decay. Sealants protect the areas most likely to develop cavities from bacteria that hide in these hard-to-reach grooves.
Several dental studies have shown sealants may reduce tooth decay by as much as 90% to 100%. At Smiles By Sands, we follow the recommendations of the American Dental Association to place sealants on back teeth as soon as they come in, around 6 or 7 years old.
